Free Church Youth Camps
Free Church Youth Camps are uniquely designed, week-long residential holidays for all young people. We have been running summer camps (holidays!) for boys and girls since 1960, and thousands of young lives have been positively impacted by the Word of God. In 2018, we are offering 350 places at 12 different camps. Activities range from canoeing to climbing, football to shinty, creating to karting, swimming to shopping. All camps are led by a great team of leaders, who want to have fun and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with young people. Campers make life-long friends while enjoying a cracking atmosphere.
If you have never been to a Free Church Youth Camp before then you are in for the best week of the school holidays! If you have been before, then welcome back and bring your friends with you too!
Team Leaders make sure everyone has a good time. Campers enjoy a week full of excursions, swimming, silly on-site games, team challenges and personal challenges as well – all with a strong Bible focus threaded throughout. For many, the highlight of the week is ‘Dorm Discussion’ time, where the campers are encouraged to explore the Christian faith for themselves. Camps enable you to make new friends, do new and exciting things and learn about Jesus and His love for you.
Generation desires to nurture, train and keep our children. Our Sunday clubs provide opportunities for children to learn about God, make friends and have fun. We try to provide helpful resources to stimulate our young people through the Sunday Club programme.
The Free Church publishes carefully constructed material which is made available to all Sunday clubs. Generation endorses this material, which takes children through Biblical themes each week, to encourage them to get to know the Bible personally. We also encourage the use of other materials such as Scripture Union, Go Teach and Urban Saints.
Every year young Christians gather for worship, food and fellowship. Open to 16 to 30-year-olds, the conference usually takes place at a residential centre over three-days. Day visitors are welcome too. As well as the main talks on a Christian theme, there are a number of workshops on current issues facing young people such as politics, relationships and faith in the workplace. In recent years the youth conference has been fully booked with well over 150 people staying the full weekend.
