New Book Celebrates Dumisani's 40 Years

Dumisani Theological Institute and Bible School 40 Year Celebration

This year Dumisani Theological Institute and Bible School celebrates its 40th year. As part of the year-long celebrations, former principal Jack Whytock has released a book which looks back over the past four decades.

Dumisani Theological Institute and Bible School was initiated by a group of leaders who met together in March 1978 to form a four-way partnership to start a Bible School in Dimbaza, South Africa, in what was then known as Ciskei (not far from King William’s Town). The four partners were: the Gereformeerde Kerk East London, the Gereformeerde Kerk eMonti, the Free Church of Scotland, and the Free Church in Southern Africa.

Since then the institution has grown considerably. It has added two new properties to its campus and now offers various accredited degree and non-degree programs to its students.

St Columba's Free Church in Edinburgh will play host to the book launch on Friday 7th June at 7:30 PM. The evening will include African themed food and music. All are welcome to attend.

Jack Whytock will also be doing a tour throughout June to promote the new book. He hopes to visit:
