Praying For One Another - March 2019 (Week 5)

We are a small fellowship, with a mix of couples, small families, elderly and youth. We are able to host weekly groups and a drop-in and are delighted that many from the community, who are not professing Christians come along to. We have contact with lots of families, and individuals in the community through this and we build on the contacts we already have. Alick Stewart is the Presbytery worker for the congregation, he is studying at ETS and is due to be finished in May

Prayer Points

  1. Please pray for the those in the congregation who are struggling with affliction and addiction. Elderly lady who has high blood pressure and difficulty with balance. One woman with leg pain. One woman with constant infections. One woman from Road to recovery has just gone to rehab looking for reduction in her methadone treatment. Two men with diabetes. Pray for healing and God’s strength.

  1. Please pray for the work of the gospel in the church and in all the various outreach that is going on. Pray that there would be fruit that would remain. The Preaching week to week, and all the people we have contact with in all their various life situations. For God's Spirit to work mightily infringing salvation.

Fort William and Kilmonivaig

This congregation is currently vacant and is based just off the high street in Fort William. The building in Kilmonivaig was recently sold and it is expected that there will be a refurbishment of the building in Fort William. The congregation is small and ageing but friendly with some very committed people. There is a desire to see the Lord's work prosper in the town but personnel who are able to lead such work are in short supply. The congregation is grateful to all who assist them at present.

Prayer Points

  1. Pray that more precenters will come forward to assist in worship services. This is a matter of some urgency.

  1. Pray for wisdom to be given to the Strategy group of Presbytery who are taking an active interest in the future of the congregation as well as to local leaders.
